Read if you're a Groundhog

Dear Punxsutawney Phil,

I have a bit of a bone to pick with you. My argument is as follows:




I do believe even the birds are on my side of the argument here.


Spring is just around the corner? My good groundhog Sir- this is WINTER not SPRING. Please address this matter in a timely manner.  I appreciate you direct attention in this.

    that is so crazy!! Hope we all get warm weather soon... cause warm weather also means ronnie is almost home.... and I know how much you are looking forward to that lol

One of my mental blocks as a writer is trying to figure out my audience. That was always a tricky question for me to answer when writing papers in college? Who am I writing this paper for, exactly? The House that Jack built.

Well I don't know for sure if his name was Jack.  His last name might have been Nielson.  A man, Somebody Nielson came by a few weeks ago and said this was the house his grandfather lived in (and I think built).  He confirmed that the floor in the living room is indeed the original flooring--I'll have to get a better picture because the craftsmanship is beautiful.  This grandson that stopped by (old enough to be 10 or 15 years my parents' senior) enjoyed seeing the house again.  Then just last week when we were finishing the screws on the deck and cutting open windows another old resident came by.  She was tickled to see that someone was fixing up the place.  Her mom bought it from my husband's grandpa (who bought it and flipped it some 20 years ago).  People from all over town have commented on it.  I'm sure glad to see that our hard work is appreciated by the community.  I'd love to get the stories these walls could tell. Magical Mystery Tour

So I've been holding off on showing pictures of our house until we're more settled in.  As in CLEANED UP. But that may be a while.  I know a few people who want to see it in all it's "glory".  We are in fact living here.  Which explains the mess.  (I know I should be cleaning instead of blogging but I have all day to do that and the boychild is napping...) Also after listening to "Gifts of Imperfection" (audio book ) I've decided to show you the REAL thing.  I did make my bed before taking pictures. But that's it.  Here she is, with no further ado (and still no name) OUR HOUSE:  When you first walk in you will see this: Our living room.
