Money:  When you don't have it- you hate it.  When you do.... well... I'll let you know.   Everyone struggles with money.  At least everyone I've ever met.  There are a few people who are wise with their monies and it *seems* to come naturally.  Then again, I'm not in that head of theirs and don't know if it really is as easy as it seems.   We have debt.  Who doesn't?  We won't. Some day. Hopefully before we're dead :) I got Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover Book in the mail today.  Thought I'd share with you some of the stuff I underlined.  (Quotes from Dave Ramsey unless otherwise noted.) One day a little boy looked outside and saw there was snow on the ground.  So he bundled up in his warm snow pants, coat, mittens, hat and boots.  Then he helped his little brother get dressed too.   The boys went to a big hill and got Daddy to pull them up in the tobaggon. WEEE!  Down Down Down they went. WOOOSH! Fast!  Daddy thought it would be fun to make snow angels. But the snow was too frozen.  What a happy day in the snow.  Little Brother wouldn't look and the camera.   And Big Brother thought the Paparazzi was after him.   Then they all went home and drank some warm cocoa.  "Warm, Warm, Warm! WE GOT IT!" (From the Polar Express if you were wondering) THE END PS: This was BEFORE the other snow dumped on us. 

Dear Punxsutawney Phil, I have a bit of a bone to pick with you. My argument is as follows: I do believe even the birds are on my side of the argument here. Spring is just around the corner? Things I'm tired of: - Hearing "Mommy, I went pee-pee in my unnerwear." - Trains. In any form. - Snow. And Cold. - Bathroom breaks for Mommy every 45 minutes or so. - Diaper Doodie- or Duty however you want to look at it. Hmmm... I'm sensing a theme here. Things I am looking forward to: - Book Club next week- my book FINALLY came in the mail yesterday. - New Jewelry I ordered at a Jewelry Party. - Spring Break. Which means road trip! It's been far too long. - Our 5 year anniversary coming up- beware the Ides of March! - The end of today.  It's been a very long one for all of us. Sean didn't have school today so he opted to come home for a little while instead.  It was so nice to see him more! While he played with the kiddos I finished this:  Like my model in the background laying on the table so the clutch would stand up on its own?  He's so helpful.  I should have used a different color thread on the blue part and you can't see the gathered front because of the busy fabric but in person it looks a lot cooler. I'm excited.  1 project down a billion to go.   If you're interested in making your own: I used THIS tutorial. (PS those of you who took the craft challeng e---someone might be getting one like this in the near future...) 

I think when I'm feeling more ambitious I will attempt THIS BABY!   Wouldn't it be SO fun?! Then I could really feel like I can thin out my wardrobe because I'd have options galore! I would lengthen the skirt more because I love a good long circle skirt that comes at least to my knees (or just below).  It would be perfect for after wee one number three is born. It's always hard to feel cute just after when you're still all squishy.  This would totally fix that. At least- maybe it'd help.  And think of the options!

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!  And Sean did just that... The plaque says "Family: All because two people fell in love" Ironic eh? These last two weeks have been rough for our little Willow Tree Figurine.  They've been in the same place (actually in the kitchen NOT on these shelves) for the entire 2 years we've lived here. For some reason they just couldn't take it any more.  If you look closely there are crack marks and missing pieces from the LAST time they were knocked off. Only the boy lost his head last time- this time they were BOTH goners. Sad day. We got this for our wedding. Almost 5 years. See: Hopefully this is not a bad omen that we're going to go *crazy soon.  *crazy: to lose one's head

Check out the littlest one's "PackPack".  He picked out the doggie fabric.  I made each of the boys their own so they could have their own stuff for church (and other outings).  Numero Uno's PackPack is a bit large but has none other than Lightning McQueen on it.  So he's happy.  They don't fight over the backpacks which is about the ONLY thing right now they don't fight over.

Today is my friend Katie's birthday. She would have been 28. She died almost 5 1/2 years ago.  Travelling back to BYU from Oregon after Thanksgiving with her mom their car hit a patch of black ice and crashed.  While she was trying to get her mom out of the car another car hit the same patch of black ice spun out and hit her. They left behind her dad, and two brothers. Sean and I were driving back to Cedar from spending Thanksgiving in California with my family.  We were just engaged.  We had pulled over in Moapa Nevada to sleep for a bit when my phone rang.  Micah told me the news.  Surreal.  I hadn't seen KT in a few years but we kept in contact through email.  I couldn't focus at school very well- which was bad timing.  Finals were coming up.  Ended up taking an incomplete in a class that I finished a year later. One of my favorite memories of KT was a youth trip to the beach.  I was 12. I remember sitting in the back of so...

This is what we've been up to today. Double layer train tracks.  I couldn't make the "Up and Down" train tracks like he wanted. "Why do you have your hand up?" "I want to block it." "Why?" "Cause I like to be a pill like dat." And little brother got a hair cut (much shorter than I meant but I learned a valuable lesson: if you want the hair long take him to someone who KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING) He's napping now so maybe I'll catch a picture of his new sassy do, that goes so well with his new sassy attitude, later.  You can certainly tell he'll be two this summer.  We were going to make blueberry muffins until I realized Aunt Christie still has my muffin tins... we'll remedy that later.  For now these few pictures will have to suffice for my lack of witty blogging. :) ***UPDATE: Here's the boychild after waking from his nap: Big Brother wanted to be in on the photo shoot too.
