But I'm going to resurrect the good ol' family blog anyway. There will be much to do in filling in the blanks. Most of that will likely never get filled in (sorry) but I'm working on highlights of the last few years. Because, boy howdy! It's been a ride! Not sure anyone reads this anymore (I know I didn't keep up with others' blogs when I stopped blogging...) but HI! We're still here.

It's a good day (or part of the day I should say) when Wee #3 keeps his diaper on for a nap.  Lately he has become a ninja and figured out how to undress himself.  Yesterday he mastered the trick of pulling off his diaper while keeping his onesie on.  I fear it's going to get worse.  He sits on the potty but doesn't know what to do.  I'm not pushing, just encouraging.  But man oh man- I just don't get it.  Why do I have to wash/hang dry/fold/put away 5 bajillion loads of laundry if my children insist on running around sans pants? I think I'll keep a few outfits (for going out in public) and church clothes and the rest will be given to other needy families.  If there are other moms out there with the same problem our family could single handedly clothe dozens of families of naked boys.  And think of the saved time and effort and money of doing laundry.  I could waste time on pinterest  blog more.   In any event the mountain...

Land that I love.  So grateful to celebrate the freedoms we are blessed with with those I love.  My mom came out for the 4th and we showed her how small town America celebrates. Melodrama Midnight Madness (softball games all night)  Parade with lots of candy (two buckets full) Carnival with booths and super nummy food Greased Pig Catching (or chasing in Ty's case) Concert in the park and FIREWORKS The town shuts down for the 4th (basically) and it was great to see the whole town coming together to have a great time It was a long hard week with the death of Sean's Grandpa July 5th.  Grateful my mom could be with us to help us and we sure enjoyed her company.  I'm not feeling so good with words today so here are the pictures.  See the wet street? When the 118th Sapper Unit got home this little town stopped traffic and welcomed them in.  My Brother in Law is on the first Fire truck.  They also had a program honoring them and their fallen brother .   Given I had hurt my foot a bit wicked the day before it made for a long day- still adjusting to the boot.  Below is the following day when they had a parade in Monticello celebrating Pioneer Day.  Again, Brother in law is here in the front- sans uniform (he wasn't the only one).   Here are the boys waving:  At the horses: After the parade (which in my oh so humble opinion-paled in comparison with Blanding's for the 4th of July) we stopped by a new little shop in town and this boy was in HEAVEN:   He even got to do the controls! After the train shop we walked over to Great Grandpa's house (a mere block away) and visited with him for a bit before heading home for naps.   Grandma and Grandpa went camping the following weeken...

Hi. It's Sean. So we headed out to Blanding for Independence Day. Actually, we went out for Cat and Ronnie's new son, Kaden Troy Butler's baby blessing, but went a few days early in order to spend the 4th there. It was a great time. If forgot how good the parade and fireworks are in Blanding (definitely better than one would expect for the size of the town). We didn't go to the booths, so I cannot vouch for them. It was a good 4th. This group shot is from the parade. Maggie's behind the camera. The kids loved getting all the free candy they could hold. It was almost as good as Halloween. On Saturday, we went up on Blue Mountain. My parents had their truck and four- wheelers, but we only had our Jetta (definitely no off-roader). The Jetta only has three or four inches of ground clearance, so I had to pick my way carefully, but we eventually stopped in a small meadow and unloaded the toys.
